Good morning, friends!
Welcome to Day 3 of what we’re calling Season 2 of Rise & Shine! If you’ve been with me the past few days, you know we’re in a rhythm of early mornings, deep reflections, and pressing forward into what God has for us. But let me tell you—this morning? This one was tough.
The first two days, I jumped out of bed with excitement. But today? My subconscious betrayed me. I hit that snooze button over and over without even realizing it! It reminded me how quickly we can slip back into habits, even when we’re committed to something new. Anyone else feel that struggle?
Key Takeaways
Small sacrifices lead to big blessings—commit to showing up, even when it’s hard.
God can multiply what little we have when we offer it in faith.
Obedience often precedes clarity—take the next step even if you don’t see the full picture.
Trusting God in uncertainty brings peace, even when circumstances don’t immediately change.
The Power of Small Sacrifices
As I was rushing to get ready, I remembered something my daughter said: “I’m committing to not hitting the snooze button.” That simple commitment stuck with me. It made me think about how small sacrifices—like choosing to get up when we said we would—can lead to something much bigger.
In 2 Kings 4, a widow came to Elisha in desperation. She had nothing left and was about to lose her children. What did Elisha ask her? “What do you have?” At first, she thought she had nothing, but then she mentioned a small jar of oil. That was all God needed.
Elisha told her to collect empty jars and start pouring. And miraculously, the oil didn’t run out until every jar was full. She sold the oil, paid her debts, and had enough to live on.
What Do You Have?
God asks us the same question today: What do you have?
Maybe it’s time—waking up early, pressing live, showing up.
Maybe it’s your voice—sharing encouragement, speaking truth.
Maybe it’s a skill or resource—something you can offer in obedience.
Whatever it is, God can take the little we have and multiply it beyond what we can imagine. He’s not looking for perfection; He’s looking for faith.
Obedience Unlocks the Blessing
The moment I pressed “Live” on Monday, everything shifted. The clarity, the revelation—it all clicked into place. And that’s what happens when we step out in faith. It’s not about seeing the full picture; it’s about trusting God with the next step.
We often hold back because we don’t understand the why. But sometimes, we have to move first. When the widow poured her oil, she had no guarantee it would multiply. She simply obeyed. And in her obedience, God provided.
Trusting God in the Unknown
So many of us are feeling the weight of uncertainty—financial struggles, health challenges, waiting for breakthrough. But let’s remember: our job isn’t to figure everything out. Our job is to trust.
God’s abundance doesn’t always look like the world’s abundance. Sometimes it’s peace in the midst of chaos. Sometimes it’s a shift in our desires. For me, that’s been learning to let go of the world’s version of success and embracing God’s vision for my life.
And that’s the adventure, right? The trust, the wonder, the excitement of knowing God is leading us, even when we can’t see the whole road ahead.
Final Thoughts
As you go about your day, I want to challenge you:
Ask yourself, What do I have?
Offer it to God, even if it seems small.
Trust Him to multiply it in ways you can’t yet see.
You don’t have to wait until everything makes sense. Just take the next step. Let Him work in the small sacrifices. Because He will bless them.
